Polish Theatre is located in Swarożyca Street, near Żeromski Park.
Modernist style building was built around 1920 according to the project by A. Tesmacher for the Masonic Lodge. Rebuilt several times the building changed its function. In 1949 Polish National Theatre began its activity there whose organizer and first director was Z. Sawan-Nowakowski. Since 1994, general and artistic director has been Adam Opatowicz. In 1997, he founded the Polish Theater cabaret scene under the name "Black Cat Ginger."
