Solec-Zdrój spa is located in the picturesque village of Solec-Zdrój in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in the beautiful Spa Park. The town is located 3 km from the route Sandomierz - Cracow, 20 km from Busko-Zdrój, 70 km from Kielce and 90 km from Cracow.
The most valuable natural resource and the base for treatment are the healing waters, acquired from several wells with a depth of approximately 170 m. They are sulphide salines containing sulphide and polysulfide ions, as well as chloride, bromide, iodide, boron ions and many other elements, such as: calcium, magnesium, lithium, iron, strontium, selenium, manganese, with salty taste and a characteristic odour of hydrogen sulphide. Sulphide water used to treat has a concentration of sulphide ions of 103 mg/litre and is the strongest in Poland and one of the best in Europe. The diseases treated here include rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue rheumatism, post-traumatic conditions, discopathy, radiculitis, neuralgia, gout, skin diseases, respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, poisoning by heavy metals and osteoporosis.
The primary treatments provided at the spa include sulphide and carbonic acid baths and peat wraps. There is also a range of complementary treatments, ranging from different types of massages and baths to treatments using electromagnetic fields.
