There is no other museum in Poland, where - in the aquariums, showcases and dioramas - the fauna and flora of the seas and oceans of the Word are presented.
The exhibitions cover the surface of approximately 900 square metres and are situated on the ground floor and three upper floors of the building of MIR.
The plastic presentation of the Baltic Sea basin and the "wet" room are extremely interesting. The museum also has a cinema room, in which there are the shows of a maritime films organized as well as the educational facilities – Kindergarten Room, Experimental Laboratory of Water and the Multimedia Hall of the Marine Ecology - equipped with a modern audiovisual equipment and laboratory equipment as well as the teaching supplies for children.
The building is accessible for disabled people.
