Chodel Protected Landscape Area was established in 1990 on the area of 23,339 ha, of which a significant portion, about 21,720 hectares is located within Opolski poviat. It covers the plain areas of the Chodel Valley and a small part of the Vistula River Gorgein Małopolska. Chodel PLA covers areas with very different land use. The areas of forests, meadows and fields intertwine, creating a picturesque and varied landscape.
