"Góra Sobień" is a forest, landscape and plant reserve with the area of 5.34 hectares situated on the Sobień Hill of the Słonne mountain range (Lesko commune).
"Góra Sobień" is a forest, landscape and plant reserve with the area of 5.34 hectares situated on the Sobień Hill of the Słonne mountain range (Lesko commune). Mixed deciduous and coniferous forest with interesting examples of the fauna. Ruins of the castle which once belonged to the Kmita family. The reserve contains parts of beautiful oak-lime-hornbeam forest, fir-hornbeam and submontane ripian forests as well as the Carpathian beechwood. The ripian wood consists of European ash, Norway spruce, Sycamore maple and hazel. Undergrowth is rich in plant species like Alternate-leaved golden saxifrage, Ground-elder and Woodruff. Fauna in the reserve: fox, roe deer, small songbirs, buzzard, raven, Yellow-bellied toad, Fire salamander, lizard and Grass snake. Through the reserve leads nature trail called “Góra Sobień” (“Mt Sobień”).
