In the Krasnobród Landscape Park, covered with beautiful fir and beech trees, we can find the highest hill in the Central Roztocze.
The Krasnobród Lanscape Park covers 9,390 ha, including a range of forest covered limestone hills, with the highest hill in the Central Roztocze, called Wapielnia. From there spring the Szum, Sopot and Potok Lisiecki (Lisiecki Stream). At the bottoms and on the sides of the valleys sands form high dunes. There are many forests, including fir and beech stands, which can be seen in the St. Roch Reserve (202.60ha). Three tourist trails run through the Park: the green trail, named after W. Podobińska (former “reserve trail”); the red “partisan” trail; the black “connecting” trail (the Nowina – Krasnobród trail). In the Krasnbród area there is also an educational trail (leading to Hutki) and two walking paths (into the village of Szur and to a shrine in the St. Roch Reserve).
