The village is located on 305 - 370 m above sea level and it has 39,44 ha. It is picturesquely situated on the northern slopes of lower level of Góry Opawskie, in lag of Landscape Park.
In the area of 20ha in Dębowiec there are deposits of graywacke. Due to the past mining there emerged a 2-ha pit. The village and the forester's lodge are called Dębowa Karczma. In XIX century and in the first half of XX century it was the favourite place of walks of Prudnik's residents and a great starting point of escapades to Góry Opawskie. In 1945, there was a great battle. In the premises of the village there are old oaks with its girth of 3,65m and 5,04m and 150-year old Douglas-fir - those are monuments of nature.
