We invite all fans of water sports and fishermen!
The pool is situated 1,5 km to the north of Namysłów, on Widawa River. The length of the pool is 3 km , counting from estuary of the river near Kowalowice to the dyke. The surface of water makes 93 ha at the lowest level and 95.6 ha at the highest. The biggest part of the pool (north-eastern part of the pool) is 300 m wide, the depth : the greatest - 3 m, the least - 1.5 m. Birds, like Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) and Common Redshank (Tringa Totanus) nest there. It is possible to observe many different species that had never been there before the pool was built. In the end of January 2001, the pool was filled up with water for the first time. In the widest place of the pool, there are two islands that are dozens of square metres big each. At present, those two islands are main places of resting for ducks during their flight in spring and autumn.
