Among garden’s special collections there are trees and bushes characteristic of particular climactic zones, plants grouped according to taxonomy, succulents, tropical flora, mountain plants, endangered species, ornamental perennial plants, the national collection of European cotoneasters (genus: Cotoneaster Medik).

The garden has its own research facilities and conducts a lot of scientific research.
