Gładyszów - Europe’s largest Hucul studs.
The Hucul horse, taking its name from the people who used to live in the area, is a fairly short and well-built animal, perfect for riding in the mountains. They were bred in the Carpathians under harsh natural conditions. The Huculs bear the cold well and may stay outdoors even during biting frosts and heavy snows. The Dni Huculskie (‘Hucul Days’) organised there every September is an event that teaches you about the strengths of these horses and the culture and varied folk art and traditions of the Hucul and Lemko Country.
