Bell-tower (also defensive and watch-tower) from 1616 located at Rynek 1 St. It was built by Feliks Skaryszewski as one of the components of town’s fortification within the framework of the Parish Church complex.
Lezajsk was for ages situated on the trade route leading from the East to Sandomierz and Gdansk. This land was often attacked and robbed by various nations that is way the tower was very useful and stood to its duty. On the top of the tower there is a dome in the shape of helmet, covered with ceramic tiles. The building is six-storied and erected on square layout. On the last floor there are remnants of loopholes.
Nowdays, the ground floor of the tower houses Tourist Information Centre.
