Original parish Church of St. John the Baptist already existed about mid-15th century, consecrated in 1663, partially destroyed by fire in 1737, renovated and rebuilt only in 1760.
Expansion included construction of two towers and porch on the west facade, enlarged vesrty, separation of the three naves in the interior. New furnishings were also donated. The Church was re-consecrated in 1768. In the 19th century, two chapels forming a kind of transept were added to the nave. Completely renovated in 1925 to 1932. Also repaired after World War II. In the 1990s, the Church was completely renovated.
