Something special for big and eternal boys beloved in military items.
The Lubuskie Military Museum in Zielona Gora with its seat in Drzonów was founded in 1985. It is located in the palace from 19th century. The collection comprises several thousand items which are on permanent display within the palace, in the open air and in pavilions. Among the Museum’s rarer items are two self-propelled cannons SU 152, the cupola of the light armoured BA-64 car, a Chevrolet truck 8421-C15A from 1942, the one-seated Iskra Ts 11 200BR aeroplane and a prototype of the Mi-2M2 helicopter. In the palace is a collection of arms, uniforms, military decorations and banners as well as mementoes from the 1st and 2nd World Wars. The Museum is also home to the Fortifications Society and Zielona Gora Knights Society as well as the Polish Reserved Officers Union of Marshall Piłsudski. The main rarity is the fortifications open-air exhibition.
