The museum has been located in tenement house at the market square since 1989. Museum collection contains over 10 thousands exhibits, which have been gathered during 60 years. Most of them represent folk art and manufacture.
The most valuable exhibits include a collection of old folk sculptures, paintings, national costumes and embroideries characteristic of two ethnographical groups: Lasowiacy (the Forest People) and Rzeszowiacy (inhabitants of the Rzeszów region). The museum also owns: a large collection of toys made after II World War, ceramic sculptures and vessels, blacksmith’s and farming tools, folk musical instruments.
