The Museum of the Lubuskie Land (Lubuskie Regional Museum) houses not only the traditional showpieces which you may find in every museum but only here you will see the Wine Museum and Tortures Museum.
The museum is placed in the former district council building, erected in 1889. The collection consists of over 17 thousand showpieces, collected in the sections: historic, old-time art, modern art, and wine. The wine making section is the only one of its kind in Poland. In the collection of the wine making – since the 19th of May 2006, the Wine Museum - there are the tools and implements of vine cultivation and wine making, and also vessels of tin, earthenware utilitarian and artistic glassware linked with this drink. A small part of the collection originates from the German Heimatmuseum from the 1920s. The medieval tortures unit belongs to the youngest ones in the museum.
