Museum of Silesian Piasts is a real pearl of Lower Silesia, there are numerous sacral monuments, there is presented history of the town, history of Silesian Piasts and their sarcophags, Silesian sculptures and paintings.
The museum specializes in collecting monuments connected with history of the town and land of Brzeg, history of Silesian Piasts and Piasts' tradition in that area. It has rich collection of medieval pieces of art (sculpture and "altar's" painting) and of Silesian and foreign paintings from XVII and XVIII century, graphics of town and castle view and other silesian towns, weapon from XVI-XX centuries ( but also a unique rarity - discovered during archaeological dig in Brzeg - a XIV-century straight arch)exhibits made by local craftsmen from XIII - XX century, silesian coins and medals from XIV-XX century, documents and oldprints (also in it part of Piasts' book collection with their own autographs). There are interesting collections of forms for gingerbread, richly ornamented guild boxes and clocks from XVII-XIX century. Real unique are: cronicle of "brzeskie bractwo kurkowe"from 1623 - 1848, including colourful portraits of kings "kurkowych", dukes of Legnica and Brzeg, collection of 14 tin sarcophags of Piasts of Legnica and Brzeg from XVI and XVII century.
