On the permanent exhibitions there are presented: the prehistory of the Zawkrzeńska Land - from the earliest times to the Middle Ages, history of the land and town Mława from the sixteenth century to World War II, with a strong emphasis on the creation of National Uprising and September 1939. The most interesting archaeological sites include stone and antler tools before several thousand years, burial compexes with full equipment of two thousand years; collection of bronze and iron "jewelry” and everyday objects from the first century before and the next four centuries, the ancient and medieval weapons. To separate notification deserves tomb of the “price”from the first century. This spectacular discovery was the crowning evidence confirming the branch of the famous amber route, passing also through Zawkrze. Historic department encourages to explore, a rich set of memorabilia related to the history of the Mława and the region. Painting from Mtawa mainly includes works of Adalbert Piechowski and his contemporaries painters. In natural world introduces us a permanent naturalexhibition, unique in its class and size in northern Mazovia. The most interesting specimen of fauna of this part of the exhibition is the forest elephant, older and bigger than the mammoth. This spectacular discovery of this ancient mammal is one of the few in Europe and one of the three well-known in Poland.
