Kolonowskie invites to the bosom of nature. It is 328,92ha big. Forest area of the valley of Mała Panew is protected there. It is a picturesque part of the river with meanders, bays with steep banks and numerous oxbow lakes.
The object of protection is a forest complex situated in the valley of Mała Panew. It is characterized by its high landscape values, rich flora and a place of existing of rare animals' species. In the protected area are: Daphne mezereum, European wild ginger, rare fauna - Coronella austriaca, Long-eared Owl, Tawny Owl.
