The Prehistory Section began to collect historic materials of all periods of the Antiquity and the Middle Ages. The greatest part of them is represented by flint, silver and bronze tools, ash-pots, vessels, ornaments and jewellery
The History Section collects remains of the contemporary history of the region. The donation of Rev. Wilhelm Gaj- Piotrowski, who has given the Museum several thousands of his exhibits, is the basis of this collection. The most important are: the Lubomirski Family archive, photographic archive, the collection of cartography, brochures, periodicals and regional documents, mainly from 19th century. The Ethnography Section is interested in collecting the remains on the territory, where the Lasowiak people were living. There are national dresses, folk art, household equipment, furniture etc. The art collection includes the works of those artists for whom our region was a home place or a place of work. The Museum continues that trend, for instance by collecting painting works of Alfons Karpiński, a well-known and recognized artist, who was born at Rozwadów (a quarter of Stalowa Wola today).
