The museum is one of the biggest attractions of the city. Located in a beautifully renovated Przebendowski’s Palace surrounded by a park named after A. Majkowski.
The collection of the Museum in Wejherowo is a rich library, which consists of the most valuable writing monuments of the Kashubian culture, including first editions and subsequent editions of the Kashubian literary works (including the translations into foreign languages), the first scientific studies in the Kashubian language, translations of religious texts, including passages of The Holy Scripture, Kashubian regional newspapers, etc. It is accompanied by the books and newspapers printed in Pomerania region in different languages, especially in Polish and German, as well as the publications appearing in other regions of the country and abroad, if it relates to the culture or the history of Kashubian and Pomeranian.
