The parish church dedicated to St. Nicolas was probably erected by the end of the 15th c. It was restructured about 1611.
At the end of the 18th c., the chapel was renovated and extended by a tower. The church was damaged during the war and renovated several times. The construction system called więzbowo-zaskrzynieniowo-zaczepowy (see translator’s note in Introduction) applied in this church is characteristic of the oldest wooden churches in southeastern Malopolska.
