The postaugustian library in Żagań has one of the richest colections of globes and old books in Poland. The walls and ceiling has frescos painted by famous Silesian artist - G.W. Neuenhertz. The medieval books collection was transported to Wroclaw in 1810. It is also very famous for excellent accoustics thanks to specially shaped vaults - the so called whisper vaults.
