The church located at today’s Kościuszki Street in Czeladź- Piaski is a shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows and Saint Jean Baptiste Marie Vianney. It was erected in the years 1922- 1924. The main initiator of its construction was prelate Jerzy Imiela. The founders of the church, as the inscription on the marble plaque at the entrance to the shrine says, was the Nameless Society of the “Czeladź” Mines and the workers of the mine themselves.
