The biggest part of the museum is the reconstruction of the workshop and shop of a shoemaker.
The so called Shoemaker’s House – Museum of Pszczew was opened in September 1984.
It is located in a historical building, built of wood of the stones in the second half of 18th century. However the ethnographic research proved that the oldest parts of the house may be older and come from 17th century.
The house distinguishes from the other ones in the Market Hall of Pszczew with its shape and proportions. For ages the basic activity of the inhabitants of Pszczew was handcrafting. That’s why, the biggest part of the museum is the reconstruction of the workshop and shop of Feliks Paździorek. He was the famous shoemaker and social activist in Pszczew from the 90s of the 19th century till 1955. Nowadays there is a seasonal local tourist information in the museum.
