Town Scales House is located in the market centre. It remained as the only one of the buildings of the former public institutions.
This magnificent building was constructed in 1604 in the Northern Renaissance style, once richly adorned with paintings and sculptures. Today, there remains the figure of Justitia. After the destruction of 1945, the house was incompletely reconstructed.
Currently, the Town Scales House is the seat of the Municipal Public Library.
