The White Eagle Museum is housed in a former mill administrator building and in the square. It is the second-largest military museum in Poland in terms of size and number of exhibits. There is also a basement and rooms with interesting exhibits from other fields of history of Skarżysko-Kamienna.
As part of the activities, the White Eagle Museum in Skarżysko-Kamienna systematically collects documents and historical materials that meet the criteria of exhibits relating to the history of the city and the region, as well as objects related to the history of the military and military traditions, both in terms of the Second World War and Polish soldiers’ operations during the war, as well as people’s struggle for freedom during the Nazi occupation and the postwar image of the Polish Army. This subject area is also the leading department of the Museum, whose character, due to the nature of exhibits, determines the importance of the institution far beyond the function of the regional museum.
