One of the most interesting sections of the northern flank of the Pomeranian Wall (Pommernstellung) can be found in the small village of Smiadowo. These are three complexes of fortifications built beteen 1935 and 1936.
FEATURES, ORIGINS, VALUES AND LEGAL PROTECTION
The Fortified Group, Smiadowska Gora consists of 6 structures connected by underground passages, which have been preserved in a very good condition, which is the opposite of the bunkers. In the walls of the underground passages are the remains of electrical and telephone cables as well as other equipment.
After the end of the war, the bunkers were blown up and the armour removed by Polish and Soviet engineers. Unfortunately, this was done quite precisely. Today, all that remains are piles of concrete rubble, but still quite discernable and identifiable.
